Forest Gate is fast becoming one of London's most sought-after locations - just 12 minutes from the City and 20 minutes from the heart of the West End. It also benefits from the wide open spaces of Wanstead Flats and is within easy reach of the Essex and Hertfordshire countryside.
Since the site launched in 1999 we've had lots of feedback from visitors, most of it very positive. Some of the many emails we have received are on the Letters page. Take a look!
One of the most common enquiries has been about an artist who used to live and work in Forest Gate, L Kersh. We now have a page called The Kersh Files dedicated to those questions and whatever information we have about him. If you have any information about the artist, please write and tell us.
